CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Community Education Campaign (CEC)
1. Recruit, train and retain presenters

ANNUAL MEETING COMMITTEE

1. Provide a high quality, cost-effective annual meeting which will meet the needs of the membership
2. Plan minimum variance with optimum budgeted revenue
3. Provide networking/socialization opportunities as a part of the Annual Meeting
4 .Utilize AHIMA's list of Core CE requirements in the planning process for the Annual Meeting
5. Provide student networking "gathering" time at Annual Meeting
6. Work with Recruitment Committee to provide IHIMA Job Fair
7. Coordinate Gertrude Gunn Forum with HIA Program
8. Query membership for potential topics
9. Work with Marketing Chair for the attendee bag, Silent Audition and IHIMA booth
10. Coordinate review and obtain approval of meeting facility contract with annual meeting chair and elected officers
11. Secure annual meeting location and dates for the next two fiscal years
12. Work with project development to investigate other CSA annual meetings
13. Work with Finance Committee to secure appropriate insurance for annual meeting

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
1. Conduct Review Workshops each year (CCS, CCS-P)
2. Conduct two (2) day Fall Conference
3. Plan minimum variance with optimum budgeted revenue
4. Coding Review workshop and Fall Conference finalized by April 1 to aggressively market seminars
5. Pursue interest in joint venture presentations with alliances
6. Assist and coordinate the Boot Camp and Legislative Update with HFMA

DATA MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
1. Communicate AHIMA coding roundtable resource material and discussions
2. Keep members informed of current issues related to data quality
3. Maintain a liaison relationship with IHHA - CoP, QIO, Discharge Data Study and ISDH registries and Payers
4. Secure qualified committee members. (i.e. decision support, quality management)
5. Plan for development of coding roundtables

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
1.Be an active member of AHIMA's Legislative Advocate CoP
2. Update and maintain IHIMA ROI manual 
3. Continue utilization of legislative tracking resources - Attorney, Internet, etc.
4 . Serve as resource to concerning legislative issues.
5. Plan and coordinate State Capitol Day for Indiana

1. Sale of promotional items at the IHIMA annual meeting
2. Write press releases for all award recipients, scholarship recipients, board members and AHIMA candidates
3. Promote publications written by our members
4. Market AHIMA publications at Annual Meeting
5. Promote Indiana members for national candidacy
6. Coordinate AHIMA and IHIMA Silent Auction (obtain booth reservation from Annual Meeting Committee)
7. Aggressively market annual meeting

1. Utilize recruitment packet consisting of HIA and HIT program materials and AHIMA recruitments materials
2. Provide information to all Regions.
3. Provide ongoing summary of recruitment efforts

COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE (CoP)
1. Update and maintain CoP
2. Increase CoP activity and utilization
3. Educate members about the CoP
4. Work closely with annual meeting committee to market annual meeting
5. Provide timely e-mail blasts as requested
6. Develop education material for CoP use and profile maintenance
7. Develop and maintain communication process with membership

1. Upgrade, maintain and promote the IHIMA web page.
2. Maintain calendar of state and regional CE offerings (what, where, when) on web-site.
3. Provide information about the IHIMA organization.
4. Communicate marketing, recruitment, promoting our profession, resource links, selling of ROI guide and promoting workshops.
5. Research other state association websites for suggestions to improve IHIMA web site

ADMINISTRATIVE

NOMINATING & CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE
1. Prepare ballot for IHIMA officers by November/December board meeting for board approval.
2. Coordinate voting procedures at the Annual IHIMA Business Meeting.
3. Continual recruitment of IHIMA volunteers in mailings, at IHIMA sponsored seminars, regional association meetings
4. Recruit IHIMA members to AHIMA ballot or committees.
5. Solicit and submit nominations for national and state awards
6 . Provide information to Marketing Committee for promotion of members receiving awards, nominated to office, etc.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
1. Investigate, recommend and implement a volunteer recognition award program for IHIMA volunteers
2. Assist other committees upon request
3. Investigate and purchase a laptop
4. Archive committee binders and IHIMA organizational information
5. Investigate an infrastructure for distance educational opportunities

STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE
1. Assist and oversee the Strategic and Operational Plans (Presidents-past, current and elect, and secretary and treasurer.)
2. Oversee activities of Central Office and annually review contract (Presidents-past, current, and elect).
3. Coordinate annual Strategic Planning Retreat (President Elect in conjunction with Central Office Coordinator)
4. Develop Association Budget (Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary)
5. Propose bylaw changes to align IHIMA bylaws with AHIMA, however needed - President Elect
6. Identify e-HIM Committee members

REGIONAL PRESIDENT
1. Maintain mentoring relationships with schools for one on one continued contact. Continue to mentor students as they enter the field as new graduates
2. Submit regional information and calendar of events, including CE offering details, to Central Office Coordinator for the CoP and website in order to provide needed information to prevent duplicate programming at regional and state levels
3. Provide educational opportunities within the regions
4. Regional Presidents or representative to attend the IHIMA Executive Board Meetings
5. Assist the CoP Committee with communication strategy
6. Maintain an active relationship with assigned Delegate

DELEGATES
1. Coordinate presentation with Regional President for assigned regional meetings to provide AHIMA update and synopsis of IHIMA activities
2. Attend Team Talks (and Leadership Conference for President and President-elect), National House of Delegates
3. Discuss vote among all delegates prior to House of Delegates vote.
4. Increase IHIMA membership response to state and national election each year 
5. Obtain input from CSA's about revenue generating activities for the board
6. President/Delegate will contact regional President for confirmation of attendance at IHIMA board meetings
7. Solicit membership feedback for voting items
8. Strengthen relationship with regional Presidents and provide updates

1. Contact other states for e-HIM activities, strategies and committee structure
2. Contact IHIE and HIMSS for liaison activities and committee participation
3. Identify state e-HIM committees for IHIMA participation
4. Identify state e-HIM legislation to communicate to membership
