IHIMA is comprised of three (3) component regional associations which serve as an important forum for communicating state and national issues and keeping members informed of regional affairs that affect health information management (HIM).
The regional associations provide members with local access to professional education, networking, as well as leadership and volunteer opportunities. They offer reasonably priced CEUs and opportunities for professional development within IHIMA and HIM. IHIMA members are encouraged to join their regional association which is determined by the county in which he/she is employed and/or resides.

Northern Indiana Health Information Management Association (NIHIMA) is governed by an Executive Board. Any IHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Adams, Allen, Benton, Blackford, Carroll, Cass, DeKalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Jasper, Jay, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Lake, LaPorte, Marshall, Miami, Newton, Noble, Porter, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, White, or Whitley County may become a member of NIHIMA.
Central Indiana Health Information Management Association (CIHIMA)
Central Indiana Health Information Management Association (CIHIMA) is governed by an Executive Board. Any IHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Boone, Clay, Clinton, Delaware, Fayette, Fountain, Franklin, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Union, Vermillion, Vigo, Warren, or Wayne County may become a member of CIHIMA.
Southern Indiana Health Information Management Association (SIHIMA)
Southern Indiana Health Information Management Association (SIHIMA) is governed by an Executive Board. Any IHIMA member in good standing who is employed or who resides in Bartholomew, Brown, Clark, Crawford, Daviess, Dearborn, Decatur, Dubois, Floyd, Gibson, Greene, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Ohio, Orange, Perry, Pike, Posey, Ripley, Scott, Spencer, Sullivan, Switzerland, Vanderburgh, Warrick, or Washington County may become a member of SIHIMA.
